Job Title: Retail Shop Driver

Overview: As a Retail Shop Driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail business by facilitating the transportation of goods between our shop and various destinations. You will be responsible for delivering merchandise to customers suppliers or other stores while adhering to safety protocols and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a reliable and organized individual with a valid UAE drivers license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Operations: Safely and efficiently transport merchandise between the retail shop and designated locations such as customer residences warehouses or other retail outlets.
   
2. Loading and Unloading: Load merchandise onto the delivery vehicle ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit. Unload goods at the delivery location and assist with bringing them to the designated area if required.
   
3. Route Planning: Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize travel time considering factors such as traffic conditions delivery schedules and customer locations.
   
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to the Operations Department.
   
5. Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to customers during deliveries including greeting customers answering questions about products or delivery schedules and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
   
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries including the items delivered delivery times and any special instructions or requests from customers. Ensure all required paperwork such as delivery receipts or invoices is completed accurately and promptly.
   
7. Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle. Follow company policies and procedures related to safety security and confidentiality at all times.
   

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  
• Previous experience in delivery or transportation roles preferred.
  
• Knowledge of local roads traffic patterns and navigation systems.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading merchandise.
  
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to customer service.
  
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  
• Flexibility to work variable hours and weekends as needed.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily involves driving a delivery vehicle and making deliveries to various locations.
  
• May be exposed to outdoor elements during loading and unloading activities.
