Voice telephony Engineer

Responsible for the installation, programming, and maintenance of various phone systems such as Panasonic, Mitel, and Avaya PBX systems, including Hosted IP systems, along with ociated equipment like voicemail, facsimile terminals, and paging/intercom systems. Sed in installing, repairing, and maintaining different IP telephony systems, including managing changes and additions to existing telephone services. Collaborates with other departments to facilitate installations, provisioning, repairs, and general maintenance tasks as required. Proficient in reading records, maps, billing doents, and central office circuit designs. Capable of efficiently utilizing all relevant test equipment for both fiber and copper-based systems. Identifies necessary repairs through thorough testing, which may involve fixing wiring issues, station protectors, ground connections, running new wires, and replacing jacks, lids, and pedestals as necessary.
