MOE Department Head

Our client is an Occupational Health, Hygiene, Safety and Environmental consulting company, based in Perth with a diverse industry portfolio including industries, such as mining, oil and gas, government, rail, and commercial facilities. They are seeking a Diesel Emission Testing Technician, to be based in and around Kalgoorlie. Part-time - 8-10 days per month.

Diesel Emissions Testing is ideal for measuring elemental carbon and gases from the exhaust of diesel engines for the underground mining industry.

Requirements

• High attention to detail
  
• Sound time management and organisational ss
  
• High degree of flexibility with working arrangements, site travel according to client requirements is required (i.e. FIFO)
  
• Sound desire and willingness to learn, mentor and be mentored
  
  

Experience in the following is desirable but not essential:

• Conducting sampling for fibres, dust, heavy metals (i.e. welding fume) and volatile organic compounds in accordance with relevant standards or guidance doents
  
• Using scientific testing equipment ociated with noise, dust and water sampling
  
• Complying with and conducting equipment calibration requirements
  

The following qualifications would be advantageous but not essential:

• Bachelor s degree in Health or Science
  
• Surface Ventilation Technician and / or Surface Ventilation Officer
  
• Registered Hygiene Sampler with DMIRS
