Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. Some jobs may require a master's degree or advanced training courses.

Experience: Practical experience in the field of metals and mineral industries. Previous experience is preferred, usually between 2-5 years.

Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of the properties and characteristics of various metals, metal manufacturing processes, and analysis and testing techniques.

Practical skills: Ability to work in research and development laboratories, carry out experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.

Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and results, and make recommendations to improve manufacturing processes or develop metal products.
