Machine Translation Specialist Remote based in EU

We are looking for a Machine Translation Specialist on behalf of our client, a Language Service Provider, operating This role is fully remote, with no travel

As MT Specialist, you will be expected to engage with all company staff, partners and customers to better understand their MT You will be familiar with current localization business practices, proactive on a research side and be able to identify and create automated language solutions that ultimately enhance end-customer service

• You will be expected to identify new opportunities for the deployment of MT solutions and apply them to the company You will then monitor and analyse these solutions, making recommendations for
  
  
• With the technology evolving, you will be expected to keep up to date with the latest developments and be able to assess their suitability to the company business
  
  
• You will be required to maintain a strategic view of language technology and its evolution whilst also engaging in hands-on
  
  
• You will be required to work closely with other teams on integrating MT into the production
  

• Evaluate the suitability of MT solutions for the company client base
  
  
• Training and retraining of MT Models
  
  
• Setting up MT evaluations Producing the MT out-puter using the required MT output for evaluation
  
  
• Providing instructions for vendors to perform evaluations
  
  
• Structuring MT content for evaluation Tools and capturing information
  
  
• Analysing the results and handing these off to PM team
  
  
• Research, pilot, analyse and deliver machine translation solutions
  
  
• Deliver MT Presentations to external and internal clients
  
  
• Document and train operational support staff regarding the solutions you deliver
  
  
• Support the business to produce a seamless experience for all MT related requests
  
  
• Guide MT programs according to the best practices in language technology use
  
  
• Identify and create marketing collateral relating to MT and Experiences
  

Advantageous Requirements:

• Advanced practical knowledge and application of machine translation
  
  
• A 3rd level qualification, preferably in a technical or linguistic discipline
  
  
• Experience with WorldServer/XTM/Memsource/Trados Studio a distinct advantage
  
  
• Experience in Computational linguistics, classification, information retrieval, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning or related sub-fields
  
  
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python or Powershell
  
  
• Ability to create Excel macros (VBA)
