Systems Engineer (Technology Services)

About Your Job Role

You will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operation and administration of Linux Operating system, virtualization technology and x86 hardware platform.

• You will be involved in various phases of life cycle management of the system, including Implementation, Software Upgrade and maintenance and support of Linux OS, Virtualization platform.
• You must be skilled in Linux administration and virtualization management platform.
• You must have strong knowledge in high availability Linux OS product and public cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting large enterprise deployments of RHEL 7/8 in a mission critical environment with efficient system administration and automations.
• Ensure the periodic maintenance for Linux servers, including Operating systems patches, firmware / microcode upgrades and life cycle management of the Linux systems deployed on-premises and public clouds.
• Ensure availability, continuity and security of Linux based systems by proactive measures and by handling the incidents.
• Upgrade and maintain RHEV infrastructure. Perform the capacity management on RHEV hypervisors and health checks.
• Providing functional and 24x7 L2 Technical support for resolution of customer problems, incidents, issues, requests and queries pertaining to reported systems and applications.
• Ensure that systems are fully maintained to the highest level of operational and monitoring capabilities.
• Maintain a highly secure system through proper system configuration and monitoring.
