The College of Communication and Media Technologies in Gulf University provides the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf with qualified graduates with competence in the media sector, enabling them to contribute effectively to the Kingdom's economic and social development. The College has two departments that currently offer two undergraduate programs and one postgraduate program.
1. Expected Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in media/ IT/ Communication Systems/ or any other discipline relevant to this program.
2. Expected Experience:
.
A minimum of two years’ experience in the same capacity.
3. Required Skills:

Ability to assist in managing quality enhancement mechanisms in a higher education environment.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.

Demonstrate ethics, integrity, and fairness in behavior and assigned tasks.

5. Duties and Responsibilities:
.
Operating and maintaining various equipment used in media production studios and Labs.
.
Ensure that the equipment is in proper working condition and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during production.
.
Assists students and faculty members in using the lab facilities, software applications, and hardware devices.
.
Addressing students and staff inquiries, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance on best practices related to media equipment, software, and systems.
.
Conduct regular maintenance and upkeep of media equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
.
Conduct routine inspections, cleanings, and repairs of equipment as needed. Coordinates with external vendors or service providers for more complex repairs or equipment upgrades.
.
Track equipment usage, manage borrow-outs to students, and ensure proper storage and organization of equipment within the studio and lab spaces.
.
Adhering to safety protocols and industry standards in media production environments.
.
Ensures that all safety measures are followed within the studios and labs. This includes proper equipment handling and adherence to electrical safety regulations.
.
Maintains records and documentation related to equipment inventory, maintenance activities, repairs, and user guidelines.
.
Generate reports on equipment usage and maintenance schedules and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements based on technological advancements.
.
Collaborates with staff members to support media-related projects, workshops, and training sessions.
.
Assist in organizing and conducting training, lectures, and workshops for students and the community.
.
