Job Title: Staff Nurses
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse to join our Women's Health Ward team. As a Nurse in Women's Health Ward, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to female patients, including those who are pregnant, postpartum, and those with gynaecological concerns. You will be expected to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial patient assessments and developing care plans based on individual patient needs.
- Administering medication, providing wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assisting with labour and delivery, including conducting fetal heart rate monitoring and administering medications as needed.
- Providing education to patients on various topics, such as postpartum care, contraception, and breastfeeding.
- Performing routine and complex procedures, such as cervical exams, Pap smears, and IUD insertions.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
- Documenting patient care in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Monitoring patients for potential complications, including infection, haemorrhage, and pre-eclampsia.
- Maintaining a safe and clean patient care environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Women's Health nursing, including experience in labour and delivery, postpartum, and gynaecological care.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
