Responsibilities
Senior Quantity Surveyors are responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Quantity Surveyors manages and monitors the costs of a project. They help to ensure that the project is planned, executed and completed within its budget. Reporting responsibility is directly to Director Contracts and, further when required to Manager by providing necessary data for preparing cost estimates for new enquiries & projects at various stages, preparing BOQs, tendering process, variations and at times valuations. Further day to day jobs shall include other assignments that shall be assigned by the Managing QS.
Skills
1. Demonstrate depth of experience in a commercial role within construction industry.
2. Self-motivated, detail orientated and very organized, with an aptitude for working with numbers and absorbing and analyzing contractual / commercial information.
3. Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative.
4. Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
5. Ability to encourage and support members of the team.
6. Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
8. In depth knowledge of construction technology, pricing, material rates, construction trends in general.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, along with Chartered Accreditation or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in quantity surveying
