Senior Editor

Reporting to the Head of Post Production, the Senior Editor will work across a range of television series and stand-alone productions. He/she will be responsible shaping the visual identity of media content, leading the post production of large-scale major series, ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity, collaborate closely with series and senior producers, directors, and bring the programming to life.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Working closely with series and senior producers, producer, directors and when called upon assistant producers to deliver the right product to the audience.
• Provide experience and skills in visual and audio story telling.
• Fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Mentoring junior editors and producers.
• Providing constructive feedback to enhance the story telling of the series or production
• Lead in editing high-profile complicated projects.
• Utilize advanced editing skills to craft compelling narratives, ensure seamless continuity, and maintain the channel's visual style.
• Work closely with the program makers to interpret creative briefs and develop innovative concepts for video content.
• Offer creative insights and contribute to the development of visual storytelling techniques that resonate with target audience.
• Oversee the quality control process, ensuring that all video content meets the channel's standards for technical excellence, aesthetic appeal, and brand consistency.
• Conduct thorough reviews of edited footage, providing feedback and making necessary revisions.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in video editing and post-production.
• Continuously enhance own technical skills and explore new tools to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance the quality of productions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with production managers and production coordinators to develop realistic timelines and budgets for each project.
• Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including cinematographers, sound designers, and graphic artists.
• Collaborate closely throughout the production process to ensure seamless integration of visual elements and sound design.
• Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic guidance and creative solutions to achieve their objectives
