Job Description

-Conduct site inspection and load assessment for all non-routine lifting operation (above 5 tons or using none-standard rigging arrangements) to establish what the load to be lifted is, what all the characteristics are, weight, size, type of lifting lugs etc., and what the ground conditions are.
-Carefully consider the demands of the lift and conduct a thorough risk assessment in cooperation with Safety team before planning the lift and documenting in a lifting plan.
-Coordinate and cooperate with Safety team to prevent incidents and/or accidents that may arise from during the lifting operations and to implement control measures using the principle of the hierarchy of controls.
-Contribute to preparation of "Lift Plan" as well as selection of lifting/rigging equipment and method as per safety standards and lifting/rigging guidelines.
-Operate mobile crane, carts, overhead crane and other lifting and material-handling equipment.
-Conducts basic loading of heavy lift projects by rigging the crane equipment and ensuring the proper use of each equipment method
