The Senior Accountant is a highly collaborative role, that partners cross-functionally with teams across Workplace Options to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
What You ll Do at Workplace Options
Support the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycles.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and income statement variance analyses and reports.
Investigate and resolve GL account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
Interact with cross-functional departments as necessary to resolve accounting issues.
Contribute to the development of new and amended accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Create, document, and perform internal control and operating procedures to ensure high quality financial data.
Work with local service providers to ensure compliance with statutory reporting for areas of responsibility and collaborate with the accounting team as needed.
Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
Support Accounts Payable team as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
Experience with NetSuite
Bachelor s Degree in accounting or finance and 3 years minimum of corporate accounting experience.
Experience in month-end financial reporting and analysis.
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLookups and Pivot Tables.
Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail, critical thinking, and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
The ability to be flexible, an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, time management and working in a high-volume environment.
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels
