Purpose and Scope of the Job
The Registrar is responsible for patients with medical problems generally considered to fall his/her specialty. Reports to the HOD on matters relating to the operations of the patient care division and maintain contact with the Head of Department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines

Performs duties of diagnosis and management of patients attending the ENT out patients department.

Responsible for pre op and postoperative care of patients as designated by HOD.

Diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to department and responsible to run his/her own clinic

Responsible to provide the highest quality of service to the patients under his/her care within the resources provided by the program

Undertakes interventional procedures, as part of the patients' treatment and/or to reach a diagnosis, where appropriate, in line with his delineated clinical privileges.

The Registrar with or without the help of consultant will review outpatients summaries and shall prepare reports and statistical analysis as required of him; such reports will be prepared in a timely manner in accordance with the standards

Reportsanyoccurrencenotconsistentwiththe operationoftheClinicor standardofserviceforpatients,employeesorvisitorsandsituationswhichputpatients,staffandvisitorsatriskofinjury or other harm.

Participates in and help establish the educational programs conducted by medical administration and provide instructions as required to the various departments in the form of a continuing education program.

Contributes in verification of the qualification and capabilities of all technical personnel as required by Head of Department. Provides leadership for organizational performance improvement activities.

Follows established policies and procedures.

Attends regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.

Maintains strictest confidentiality

Co-ordinates with all consultants for ensuring that sound administrative and professional standards of medical practice are maintained.

Accepts all other additional assignments found necessary by the Head of Department
Qualifications, Competences and Skills
Education
MBBS &Master Degree
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience after master degree
Licensure
Valid Kuwait License
Language
Well versed in English and elementary knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
