A day in your life with us:

• Full overview of the Profit & Loss (P&L) of all the sales channels and understanding how different actions impact the different lines in the P&L.
• Partner with the Finance Director in coordinating the Market Business Plan process. We work together to ensure that the markets are steered towards common IKEA directions and objectives. We identify and capture market potentials and opportunities, based on the knowledge of people’s life at home.
• Drive and take responsibility for the Financial Goal setting process of my region. Ensure we consolidate and deliver the financial goals for my regional markets, in line with the Financial year cycle. Work with the Group Business Navigation team, the Regional Service Office Commercial Team to ensure that our goals are realistic, challenging and transparent.
• Responsible for preparing Market’s financial reports and presentations (weekly/monthly and ad-hoc) and complete all quality comments on Actuals vs Budget/Forecast and Last year’s to the Group Business Navigation team.
• Secure that our financial goals are communicated and clearly understood by Store Management teams and Regional Service Office.
• Proactively work with the Group Business Navigation and Regional Service Office Commercial team to develop plans for how we will take fast action if the performance deviates from the goals and forecasts (Scenario plans). Ensure these are well documented, realistic and communicated.
• Take the lead in ensuring we have agreed trigger points for when to implement our Regional market scenario plans.
• Drive the follow-up process to ensure we are focusing on delivering the business plan. Provide and communicate relevant business information in a way which engages and inspires us to take meaningful actions to achieve our goals.
• Responsible for coordinating and agreeing updated Regional Market forecasts throughout the year, in-line with the Financial year cycle.
• Co-operate with the Group Business Navigation Team to align working methods and time lines. We share information and together we support the financial planning and secure the long term profitability.
• Ensure working together with the Regional Service Office Commercial Team to close the gap between the performance of our sales channels in our markets.
• Encourage the organization to discover even more effective and cost conscious ways of working to make us quicker, leaner and simpler, and through this lower our cost structure.
• Work with the Regional Service Office and Store BNOM’s to analyse benefits, costs and investments and develop business cases. Do this to ensure that we invest in projects that give a good return on investment.
• Working with Regional Service Office Marketing team to support them in achieving an effective and efficient marketing budget in our Regional Markets
• Coach and challenge colleagues in the Regional Service Office and in our Markets on Business Navigation competencies, where this knowledge is relevant to them, to improve their contribution to business performance.
• Areas of responsibility would include both Kuwait & Jordan Markets

Qualification

• BSc or MSc in Finance or Business Economics
• Professional qualification such as CFA/CMA or similar will be considered a plus
• Decision-making, problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong experience of working in Retail or FMCG with high volume of operations
• Experience in working with a diverse team
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English both verbally and in writing
• Good interpersonal skills
