Job Description
Provide cost & planning services in support of engineering, construction, commissioning & start-up (CSU) and maintenance activities.
Develop, in conjunction with project engineers, design engineers, construction & maintenance engineers, activity plans for projects, construction services, and CSU activities.
He/she shall report to the relevant Contractor Lead project control & planning engineer, IAP Planner and area Construction or Maintenance Co-ordinator for day-day activities. Shall report to lead project control and planning engineer.
Build overall plans and schedules for conceptual, front-end designs and for the execution phase of projects, provides plans and schedules for ad-hoc construction service requests, integrated maintenance plans.
Shall report to the relevant Contractor project control & planning engineer, IAP Planner and area Construction or Maintenance Co-ordinator for day-day activities.
Responsible for work activity progress reporting and regular update of plans and schedules.
Work in close co-operation with Company Engineering & Operations planning department, for engineering, construction, and CSU planning, inclusive reporting, Primavera P6 entry, SAP daily service entry, and PromisX entry.
Resource optimisation / prioritisation in conjunction with Project Engineers / Construction / Maintenance Co-ordinators(s).
Early warning of plan delays and proposals for mitigation to Project Engineers / Construction / Maintenance Co-ordinators for resolution.
Providing all type of Direct costs for Construction in Cost Estimates in the Define phase of the ORP process. Development of Star Rates for new Norms. Can actively train and encourage the development of Omani personnel on Cost Estimating roles. Providing Design personnel with Cost Estimate input of documents required. Review of Bids and Quotations from Vendors on completeness and to be included in Direct costs.
