Job Description
- Analyze patient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals
- Study diagnostic records, including dental histories, plaster models of teeth and and X-rays, to develop treatment plans
- Discussing treatment plans and cost estimates with patients
- Adjust dental appliances to produce and maintain normal function
- Instructing assistants on orthodontic procedures and techniques
- Responsible for fitting dentures, braces and other orthodontic appliances
- Scheduling regular checkups with patients to make adjustments to orthodontic appliances and tracking patient progress
- Educating patients about on-going orthodontic care and explaining proper oral hygiene methods for good oral health
