- Manage backup, security and controls of databases
- Perform database tuning within the competencies of operation & administration as per the application architecture and industry best practices.
- Manage Storage & Input/Output performance issues related to databases
- Restore Database and application server whenever required
- Allocate system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database
- Create primary database storage structures (table spaces) if requested by client.
- Create primary database objects (tables, views, indexes) if requested by client
- Enroll database users and maintaining system security, thus restricting access only to authorized database users and provide quarterly reports to client
