Neuromuscular-Clinical Research Associate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research Coordination/Study visit: Actively participates in clinical trial recruitment by evaluating potential participants with study team; schedules all study visits; acts as lead point of contact for all study visits; coordinates study visits based on other study team members schedules; collaborates with research pharmacy and other USF vendors for completion of study objectives.
• Data collection: Responsible for collection of study data throughout the study patient's time in the trial; ensures proper documentation of study data by PI/Sub-I and other study staff; Creates data source documentation; Analyzes data for trends to protect patient safety; Enters data or reviews data entry performed by assistant staff to ensure accuracy.
• Data monitoring: coordinates with sponsor representative for on-site study data review; Ensures data is in compliance with Federal, state and university regulations; Reports deviations or events of interest to the IRB; Addresses data queries in a timely manner.
• Collaboration and critical thinking: Works with team members to problem-solve and deliver study endpoints and objectives. Develops solutions to complex problems as they arise.
• Training: Updates credentials and certifications as needed; Trains with appropriate trainer on new study protocols, assessments and procedures; Trains new study staff and research assistants in study procedures, data collection, query resolution, laboratory sample processing and other tasks as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

• This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and one year of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.
