Essential Functions

Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting
Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss
Maintains the general
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly
Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from
Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable
Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual
Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government
As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting
1 Examines assigned financial records and statements for
1 Analyzes financial data, making recommendations as appropriate to improve accuracy, efficiency, and to reduce
1 Inspects the budget and general ledger for assigned departments and accounts, ensuring that funds are available, and expenditures are assigned
1 Prepares annual financial statements and records provided to federal, state, and internal auditors and similar
1 Manages accounting duties for and corrections to listed financial
1 As appropriate, identifies and recommends updates to accounting systems and
1 Prepares annual financial
1 Monitors the financial records of an assigned accounting
1 Studies costs and trends for assigned accounting
Consults with supervisor on fiscal administration and budget
2 Reconciles department reports for assigned
2 Prepares periodic financial statements and reports for internal
2 Review budgets for Manage the budget for each

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
3+ years of accounting experience
Preferred Education & Experience
Quickbooks Certified
5+ years of accounting experience
At least 2 years of experience working at a
Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and
Excellent organizational skills and attention to
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to follow verbal and written
Knowledge of office practices and clerical/accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar
Knowledge of accounting
Ability to work well as a part of a
Highly proficient in QuickBooks On-line
Experienced with Accrual-based accounting
1 Prior experience with non-profit audit compliance
1 Knowledge of budgeting
1 Ability to manage federal grants Federal grants
