Job Description

- Mixes solutions and prepares specimens and lab equipment for student experiments when given written instructions by a teacher.
- Cleans up all equipment and disposes of lab materials after lab is finished.
- Keeps the chemical storage system organized according to recognized safety guidelines.
- Follows appropriate safety procedures in the handling of chemicals.
- Keeps the science storage rooms clean and organized.
- Assists in the ordering process by relaying needed materials and supplies when they are nearing empty.
- Verifies ordered materials when they arrive and reorganizes lab cupboards and back storage rooms to fit the new materials.
- Completes photocopying and constructs classroom materials for science teachers.
- Hangs posters, makes bulletin boards and other decorative displays in science halls.
- Other duties as assigned.
