• Collaborate with museum technical coordinator and with Production and Digital Media, and IT departments, regarding software and hardware troubleshooting, condition and maintenance plans & their tracking, sourcing of new equipment and emerging technologies for the museum.
• Management, maintenance and primary user of in-exhibition software systems for exhibitions of museum content, including issues of digital storage, maintenance (management of SLAs, etc.), review of updates, de-bugging reports and similar components of care.
• Ingest of digital assets to exhibition software systems in collaboration with curators and director, including their creative layout and design within digital displays (template-based system), color schemes, use of sound, interactivity, etc., and compliance with assets copyright agreements and their display.
• Management and coordination of moving image exhibition digital content, including subtitling, editing, corrections (e.g., sound balance), and other processes necessary for a piece of moving image to be included in an exhibition. Recording keeping of the same.
• Work with museum s Registrar and curators on recommendations for digitization processes for physical assets, including off-site digitization, 3D scanning and printing, and subsequent digital storage.
• From initiation of exhibition development, contribute to the development of exhibitions in areas related to visitor digital experience in the space, uses of technology, exhibition-specific needs, color schemes and digital design. Through to installation of exhibition, opening and run.
• Contribute to museum tech-related policies and procedures, analytics reports on usage, condition, and issue tracking. Contribute to museum budget tracking and reporting, including recommendations on hard- and software updates, and equipment.
