- Establish and implement network and system security practices to minimize the risk of data loss, theft, or tampering, and to contain security breaches/incidents.
- Perform regular security reviews and compliance testing for network, database and application to ensure adherence to adopted security standards.
- Create security policies and authorization roles and defend against unauthorized access, modifications, destruction, and provide technical security advice.
- Undertake investigations and report on security breaches and incidents to reduce the likelihood and impact of security-related incidents.
- Install, administer, and troubleshoot network security solutions.
- Verify all existing software with the latest security patches and ensure proper defenses are present for each network resource.
- Perform vulnerability and penetration tests, identify, and defend against threats, and assist in the development of disaster recovery plans.
- Configure IT security systems, analyze security requirements, and recommend improvements.
- Create network policies and authorization roles and defend against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
- Review violations of computer security procedures and discuss procedures with violators to ensure violations are not repeated.
