- Creating computer applications to meet users’ needs based on business requirements, coding standards, and industry best practices
- Performing system maintenance activities such as backing up data files and repairing software bugs
- Analyzing data to identify problems or opportunities for improvement
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems—including operating systems, applications software, and peripheral devices
- Designing, developing, testing, and evaluating new technologies in support of organization goals
- Providing technology support to other employees within an organization including training on new technologies
- Installing and maintaining network infrastructure such as routers and switches
- Designing, developing, testing, and implementing new technologies and systems in support of organizational goals
