Job Description

- Coordinates and performs inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.
- Performs installations of HVAC equipment and systems and monitors repairs on systems and/or components (e.g., pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.).
- Coordinates with HVAC Lead and/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.
- Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
- Tracks performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of HVAC systems.
- Prepares written reports (work order status, activity logs, etc.) for documenting activities and/or conveying information.
- Requests equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete installations and/or repairs.
- Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Performs other duties as requested.
