We are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced High School/University Counsellor in our High School Division to join ACS International School Doha, Qatar. The suitable candidate must have a strong background working with students and assisting them in choosing universities. Reporting to: Middle/High School Principal Requirements: Qualifications: • MA certification in school counselling preferred • Experience working in Secondary School/High School university and careers counselling/guidance • Experience of IB / AP Programmes Knowledge and Skills: • Understanding of academic process and its impact on Student Information and Learning Management Systems • Communicate clearly and creatively with parents, students and staff • Excellent communication skills, written and oral • Excellent interpersonal skills Responsibilities : • Present information at a range of meetings and parents’ evenings to educate students and parents about colleges, the college admissions process, trends, procedure and testing. • Provide advice on academic pathways and course selections to students and their parents throughout the High School so that students make appropriate subject choices. • Work with the pathway coordinators to provide careers advice in the High School so that students make academic choices with a career in mind.
