HEAD OF PRIMARY in Qatar

Head of Primary Department at at an International School in Doha, Qatar Start August 2024 International Teachers Plus (ITP) is a Teacher Placement Agency offering full recruitment services and a wide variety of international teaching jobs at reputable International Schools in the Middle East. The HEAD of Primary Department will work with the Head of School to maintain the highest standards for the day-to-day running of their school. This can include: Responsible for liaising and leading teachers in the Primary Department and Curriculum Development for the program. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives. Ability to teach Primary grades. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counsellors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problem. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects, distribute, collect and grade homework assignments, tests and projects and attend staff meetings. Qualifications Required: • Bachelor of Education from a recognized university in the UK, CA, US, AU, NZ • Relevant teaching qualification/license from the following countries only: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (Preferably UK as it is a British curriculum). Due to visa restrictions in the country) • Minimum 3 years teaching experience at Primary grade levels • Master Degree in Leadership a definite asset • Proven leadership/supervisory experience • Minimum 2 years experience in a Head position • Excellent English Communication Skills Contract Details: Start Date: August 2024 Contract Duration: 1 year (Renewable) Location: Doha, Qatar Work Week: Sunday to Thursday Visa: Resident Visa fees covered by employer
