Job Description

The incumbent of this position will be part of the Business Development Division- Nonmetallic Group which is responsible for the development of detailed investment proposals, evaluating investment opportunities, economics analysis, interact with internal and external consultants, potential partners and stakeholders, lead deal teams and negotiate heads of terms and definitive agreements to close investment deals. The primary role of the incumbent for this position is to develop and/or analyze economics and review financial analysis for nonmetallic investment decisions in the oil & gas, building and construction, automotive and packaging industries.

Responsibilities
  • Perform supply and demand assessment to identify gaps in the local supply chain.
  • Originate, source and screen new investment ideas, proposals, and opportunities.
  • Source and attract interested investors from local and international markets including public and private sectors.
  • Review market opportunities, market economics, investment feasibility.
  • Analyze and evaluate economic feasibility of investments in different sectors.
  • Develop value proposition and establish the business case for new investment opportunities.
  • Evaluate Strategic and comparative positioning and identify Risks & Constraints.
  • Review the strategic fit to the company and validate assumptions and data accuracy.
  • Develop the investments scope, deliverables and milestones.
  • Review and validate valuation techniques and evaluate various forms of partnerships and equity structures including joint venture and other forms of partnerships.
  • Develop, assess and evaluate different investment scenarios and their impact on the feasibility of investment opportunities.
  • Review and analyze partner s financial fit.
  • Engage and lead negotiations of heads of terms with potential partners.
  • Develop, review and negotiate financing strategies and packages for different investments.
  • Advise, council and coach colleagues and junior members of the team in all aspects related to deal making.

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor s Degree in nonmetallic materials, Polymers, Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree in business administration (MBA) is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience as an engineer in the field of nonmetallic materials with applications in oil and gas industry with excellent knowledge in Supply Chain includes any experience in any of the following functions: Procurement, Logistic, Traffic Field, Contracting, Business Development or other functions in the Procurement Org related to the Supply Chain business.
  • Familiarization in thermoplastic, fiber reinforced thermoset or thermoplastic, elastomers and their related products including piping, tanks and vessels, liners for carbon steel piping, downhole tubing and casing, composite repair systems, etc.
  • Excellent presenter, high convincing ability, excellent paper writing skills
  • Good field experience including processes and equipment
Certificates
  • Affiliation with professional societies is highly desirable in Supply Chain OR Project Management.
