- Developing instructional materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, handouts, and homework assignments
- Teaching students about accounting, finance, marketing, management, operations management, human resources, business ethics, and other business topics
- Participating in activities that promote the school’s mission, such as recruiting new students or helping current students with academic issues
- Conducting research in their field of study, writing academic papers, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting findings at conferences
- Participating in college or university governance activities such as serving on committees or boards
- Planning, administering, and teaching classes, such as business law, organizational behavior, human resource management, accounting principles and practices, and marketing strategies
- Providing academic advising to students on their course of study or career plans
- Evaluating student achievement through tests, papers, projects, presentations, exams, or other means
- Conducting research on business topics and presenting findings at conferences
