Job Description

• Sets up the Patient Access Department including all the related policies, procedures, and forms. • Creates related processes and workflows incompliance with the Hospital’s standards and policies. • Creates clear workflows with all internal and external stakeholders (cross-functional). • Responsible for staff development, including training, reviews of progress and communication of findings with the Finance Department. • Manages and monitors the Patient Access team in regard to their day-to-day tasks, performance appraisal, patient approach, and cash collection/reconciliation. • Manages the Patient Access team scheduling and task delegation to ensure complete and full schedule coverage as per the Hospital’s needs and requirements. • Responsible for adequate staffing and allocation in all Patient Access areas and wherever is required. • Implements the Health Information Privacy and Portability Act (HIPPA) rules and approach to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. • Monitors and manages the patient access task implementation ensuring transparency, ethical communication (internal and external clients). • Manages the development and implementation of the activities in compliance with the Business Unit policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure an efficient and effective operation. • Ensures registration audits are regularly performed to promote quality and identify root causes of issues to develop action plans for process improvement. • Sets up the required reports that need to be generated from the system to monitor performance and gaps and set up corrective actions and improvement plans. • Builds and leads a motivated, engaged, and competent team throughout the Department, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to improve performance
