CRNA Assistant Professor

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Doctorate in nursing or related discipline and current national certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist; be eligible to practice, and current clinical practice as a CRNA/ARNP in the state of Florida.

PREFERRED:

One year prior post-secondary teaching experience in a college/school of nursing, demonstrated expertise in teaching/developing curriculum in pharmacology, physiology, pathophysiology and Nurse Anesthesia related curriculum. Experience with technology supported educational methods (online and blended format); demonstrated ability to work effectively with community partners. An established record of scholarly work and/or external funding; experience with simulation learning; evidence of independent and collaborative scholarship or creative work supported by publications, presentations and or their equivalent. Must commensurate with the rank of assistant professor.
