Construction Manager

Job Summary We are currently looking for a Construction Manager for our project in Doha, Qatar. You will ensure that contractors comply with Qatari and Lusail building, fire, safety, handicap and environmental codes and regulations. Inspects safety aspects of jobs in progress; encourage contractors to observe applicable safety rules and regulations. Reviews logs and records of work performed in relation to construction management activities. Manages preparation of periodic and special reports as required. Reviews accuracy of reports of contract work and other assigned activities, review progress, performance and completion of reports, purchase requests, requisitions, and reports of claims related to the discipline. Ensure project completion in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule, and in conformance with the appropriate standards, specifications and applicable regulatory requirements. Participate in monitoring and endorsing the design and job specifications to determine and evaluate appropriate construction methods, determine cost-effectiveness of plans and interprets the design and application of the adopted construction methods Monitors and controls all contractual commitments with contractors to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and terms of the contract and that change orders and claims are processed in a timely manner. Follow up with contractors for proper closure of related discipline’s NCR’S by evaluating proposed solution and monitor implementation at the site. • Required Qualification: BSc/BEng in civil or Architecture engineering; • Required Experience: 12+ years overall postgraduate experience , a minimum of 3 years in the GCC, with the last 6 years as a Construction Manager with the following: Assists the Project Manager to manage and coordinate buildings projects and contractors. Under the direction of the Project Manager monitors and endorses the work of contractors in the planning, supervision and reviewing work of contract services to ensure quality and consistency of such work and adherence to the contract. Also to develop detailed work schedules and make work assignments to engineering technicians, establish priorities, reviews and adjusts schedules to meet project(s) requirements
