We are currently recruiting for5 Lecturer or Senior Lecturer positions in the School of Computing and Data Sciences to teach the following programmes:

• BSc (Hons) Computer Science
• BSc (Hons) Software Engineering
• MSc Cyber Security

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate their ability to:

• Deliver on a range of modules across the respective programme.
• Develop the teaching material and assessments for the modules they deliver across the programme.
• Ensure that existing modules are updated in content as per the latest developments in the industry.
• Collaborate with the industry advisory board to enhance the relevance and quality of the programme.
• Develop assessments for the modules on the programme, ensuring that they are as per LJMU guidelines and policies, in line with the assessment matrix and meet the deadlines for verification and external moderation.
• Take on the role of a personal tutor for students across the programme portfolio.
• Supervise dissertations across programmes at the undergraduate level and postgraduate level.
• Meet all LJMU academic regulations and Oryx Universal College Quality Assurance processes related to the modules and programs they deliver.
• Contribute to the continuous development of existing programs and introduce new programmes within the school they are affiliated to,
• Deliver CPD and short courses to increase the portfolio of the School of Computing and Data Sciences.
• Engage in approved research to contribute to the knowledge in strategic priority areas.

The successful applicant must have (essential) a postgraduate degree in a related subject area.

Candidates with one or more of the following credentials will have significant advantages during consideration for this position.

• A PhD (Level 8) qualification,
• Teaching experience delivering undergraduate/postgraduate modules in a recognized university (Level 4 or above),
• Qualification/training to teach at higher education level,
• Having worked in the related industry.
• Professional qualification in business, leadership, project management etc.

Selected Candidates are expected to relocate to Qatar.

We offer excellent remuneration packages to the right candidates on par with market conditions, and an additional incentive package linked to organization level KPIs can be negotiated. Eligible candidates who move to Qatar from overseas for employment are provided with a package that will include additional allowances such as accommodation allowance, dependent children school fees allowance etc.
