- The operator will be required to understand the need to heat and cool the reactor contents in order to manage the heat of reaction as well as the DCS operation. The operator will be trained in understanding how the work process works related to reviewing batch orders, checking the raw materials, charging the raw materials, overseeing the process (which may include in-process sampling), finishing the batch, packing out the product and closing the order. The operator will be required to follow all site safety rules and the use of specific PPE. The operator is expected to recognize hazards, use SDS and take on a leadership role in an emergency (i.e. ops chief or safety lead).
