About the Role:
SoftLabs is seeking a Business Analyst for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in Canberra.
The successful Business Analysts will be expected to contribute their experience and skills to support projects within the Program, by producing user stories, business requirements, stakeholder engagements and functional specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Capture and document complex requirements by facilitating requirements gathering workshops, undertaking detailed user research and analysis of business / technical requirements for projects requiring the following experience: Data architecture and analytics, Business Process Modelling
- CoTS products, Business and Corporate Applications
- Ability to produce high level artefacts including business, process and data flow diagrams articulating current and future states for management and use of NBA data and applications.
- Develop key analysis documentation including business requirement specifications, configuration specifications, corporate and business system process documents, options papers and/or gap analysis and present to senior business executives to gain approval.
- Ability to work with vendors to deliver a fit for purpose solution for the NBA including functionality assessment, workflow/process improvements and integration.
- Ability to coordinate and run internal and external stakeholder workshops to facilitate requirements gathering and or configuration requirements.
- When required, manage a back log with the Product Owner to maintain user stories.
- Prepare technical and system documents as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication and engagement skills to work with external, internal stakeholders and senior executives to derive project needs.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in Business and/or Data Analysis and technical writing and process design experience is required.
- The Successful candidates to engage with both external and internal stakeholders, identify user needs, manage priorities and adapt to a dynamic working environment.
