• Advise students about degree requirements, including distribution, major and elective requirements; maintain appropriate records regarding student contacts/advising appointments. Perform preliminary degree progress audits; review major, distribution and elective, bachelor degree requirements, GPA requirements, total number of units; note any general deficiencies and discuss with student and others as necessary
• Assist students with registration/provide guidance in course selection in keeping with the degree requirements, students' interests, values, and abilities; assist students in selecting courses, finding alternative classes
• Assist in the development of advising resources; develop and give presentations to students at advising and academic success-related events.
• Provide specialized advising to students on academic probation and work closely with them to monitor academic progress for removing probationary status.
• Develop, implement, deliver and assess individual tutoring and group-oriented programming for students related to college learning; subjects may include 1) test taking, 2) time-management, 3) organizational, 4) reading, 5) writing, 6) note-taking and other general skills related to academic success.
