• Receives instructions from the workshop supervisor regarding rewinding schedule. • Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment including but not limited to: single phase, three phase, DC fields, wound rotors, transformers and coils. • Operate specialized repair machine and /or testing equipment such as winding machine, test panels, testers & instruments, dip tanks, bake ovens, grinders and other various hand held power and non-power tools. • Dismantle and /or stripped damaged unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment as directed by the workshop supervisor. • Inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunction. • Inspect stator core for any sharp edge or damage and repair or clean stator slots if necessary. • Take the complete winding data of the stator/windings according to the schedule of stripping and record data’s with connection sketch on the winding data sheet. • Ensure that the winding data and connection sketch you have written/made are correct, legible and understandable with your colleague in the section. • Complete required paper works for each job accurately and on a timely basis. • Test the rewound and condition of windings according to our standards and record the test result on data sheets. • Keep area neat and clean for every end of the day/duty. • Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by the workshop supervisor. • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gears.
