We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of mixed use apartment projects in NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Immediately you will be responsible for delivering a project located South of Sydney in the Illawarra region. You will be expected to travel to the site daily to oversee the project.
After the completion of the first project you will assist the development team with DA, CC and coordination of similar paperwork for our next projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Plan, organise and direct the work of sub-contractors, including scheduling and coordinating their activities.
Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily reports, timesheets, and site diary.
Monitor the progress of works against the project plan and schedule, and take appropriate action to address any delays or issues.
Ensure adequate resources, including materials, equipment, and supplies, are available on site.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety regulations and standards.
Foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that all costs are properly recorded and reported.
Previous experience managing Class 2 apartment projects is required.
Experience dealing with authorities consultants and various design stakeholders.
Proven experience as a Site Manager on mixed use construction projects, with a focus on Class 2 apartment projects.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Ability to understand and interpret technical plans and specifications.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Construction or a related field.
Hold a valid White Card and other relevant safety certifications.
