Job Description

The primary job function of the Area/Site Manager is to manage and assume the overall responsibility for the success of their sites by directing all operational aspects of each Site Manager, Duty Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, and general cleaning staff.

The Area Manager is the link between the client & the company; they will be a representative of our client and play a vital role in the day to day running & managing in the company.

Even though the job description is a detailed explanation of the day to tasks, we acknowledge that from time to time this may differ as clients requirements change.

The characteristics we are after would include company loyalty, commitment to the job/team, self-disciplined, self-motivated. Stable tenure working in the contact cleaning environment is essential.


Key performance Indicators:

  • Area managers are responsible for ensuring that staff maintain sites as per our laid down standards
  • Area managers must be well organised in terms of managing payroll, admin and the clients expectations
  • Managing the consumables budget is key to good overall site management
  • Time management is essential to ensure that all sites are visited as agreed
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the economic cycle
  • Ensuring that staff are well trained
  • Ensuring sites are well equipped with consumables
  • Manage discipline as per our disciplinary code
  • On and de boarding of staff timeously
  • Ensure leads are provided - a minimum of 2 leads to be provided every months

Education/ Qualifications

  • Matric or a relevant qualification at a level 4
  • The ability to travel extensively
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Confidence, drive and enthusiasm
  • Decision-making ability and a sense of responsibility
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Administration skills, including report writing & completing site visit forms.
  • A basic working knowledge of Human Resource Management
  • Customer centric
