As a Night Supervisor, you’ll provide support to line colleagues as well as Front Office Leadership to ensure the smooth running of Front Office Operations. A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Responsible for the operational efficiency of all areas in the night and the service delivery of those areas to ensure guests receive a consistent luxury experience. You will be required to coordinate with all other departments within the hotel to ensure that a seam.
  • Manage the efficient front office night operations including check in/out procedures
  • Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely. Ensure that the Duty Manager is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
  • Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  • Ensure your shift team have a current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and special promotional offers, as well as daily VIP and special events
  • Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire team members to exceed standards
  • Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done

What we need from you:

  • 2 years in a front desk or guest service position and one year in supervisory or team leader position
  • Previous experience in a 5 star luxury hotel
  • Diploma in Hotel Management/Business Administration or equivalent
  • Communication skills – guest will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
  • Your problem solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English – extra language skills would be great, but not essential
  • Flexibility – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Literate and tech savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computer skills
