Technical Director

Our client is a leading provider of real estate and facilities management engineering services. They have a new requirement for a Technical Director to join the team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia and wish to invite you to bring your expertise and enthusiasm into play as a senior member of a real estate and facilities management team as Technical Director.

To succeed in this role:

* You will have extensive experience of working in a technical maintenance and facilities management capacity with excellent working knowledge of electrical building services and maintenance in banking and datacentre environments (critical engineering HV shut downs etc)

* you will use your extensive large project delivery experience/skills to provide inspirational leadership training and mentoring to colleagues at a variety of stages in their career development.

* be client focussed and able to represent our client providing accountability and responsibility for your team to the satisfaction of clients whilst obtaining their respect and loyalty.

* You will be able to manage delivery via programming/planning delivery to match a cost to complete and commercially experienced to protect our client from design errors

As the new Technical Director you will be part of a highly dynamic team. . The team has a deep focus on technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care. You will be an important part of a closeknit team working on a wide variety of highprofile work in and around Saudi Arabia and our client offers a supporting and collaborative culture and environment in which you can develop and grow in your role. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

* Mentor develop and support an established and stable team of talented Engineers.

* Protect and develop the quality and provide technical and pastoral mentoring to colleagues.

* To lead and deliver projects profitably and to the satisfaction of our clients

* To support our work winning activities with the development of technical strategies and demonstration of market leading expertise in the field.

* Work as part of the leadership team who are collectively responsible for the strategic direction and financial performance of the team

* Liaise and interact with colleagues to optimise technical direction and use of standard procedures

* Manage technical risk negotiate scope of services and prepare fee proposals

The key deliverables for this role will be:

* Protect and raise the profile and reputation of our client offering upskilling our clients electrical engineering functions and having a direct hand in leading our projects

* Help develop and promote our clients technical capability in the local market

* Maintain excellent levels of client service

* Focus on expanding our teams electrical skills systematically reducing risk and improving efficiency in their delivery.

Qualifactions

* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

* A Chartered Engineer with a reputable Institution

Experience

* Proven track record in leading and managing all aspects of techncial delivery

* High degree of technical competence with demonstrable appreciation of sustainable / net zero carbon design

* A strong reputation as a highly regarded well liked and trusted technical leader with solid experience of technical delivery within datacentre investment banking and critical engineering enviroments

* Impressive client facing skills experienced at presenting to clients

* Support and contribute to our clients business plan working within the ethos defined by their mission and values.

* Ability to motivate support and guide support multidisciplinary professional teams
