OBSTETRICIAN AND GYNECOLOGIST REGISTRAR / SR. REGISTRAR

Job Description

• The OBGY Registrar shall be accountable to the Consultant to whom she/he is assigned for fulfilling the obligations which are common to and shared by every doctor working in the hospital and carrying out his/her patient care duties and to the Section Head of The Department for his/her duties related to supervision and education of Residents.
• Provide medical care related to pregnancy or childbirth and those who diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases of women, particularly those affecting the reproductive system. May also provide general medical care to women.
• Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients’ health and deliver babies safely.
• Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient
• Monitor patient progress or responses to treatments
•Refer patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary.

Qualification & Experience

• Completed Medical Degree, Ph.D., M.D., MBBS or equivalent.
• Completed 2 years of Specialized Medical Training.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a OBGY in Hospital Setting.
• Current Certification and License is required.
• Fellowship of the College of OBGY is desirable.
• Current Full Medical Council Registration
• Preferrence is for a Female OBGY
