Kitchen Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Grand Hyatt Doha. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting the chefs with preparing and assembling food items, maintaining the kitchen area, and ensuring cleanliness and proper hygiene standards are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the chefs in preparing and cooking food items as directed. - Measure and weigh ingredients accurately. - Clean and prepare vegetables, fruits and meats for cooking. - Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, blenders and grinders. - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area. - Properly store food items and supplies. - Dispose of waste and clean kitchen surfaces. - Follow safety procedures and guidelines. - Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: - At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - High level of attention to detail. - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. - Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Good knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. - Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Salary: The salary range for this position is between 20 and 30 Qatari Riyals per hour, depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. This is a part-time position with flexible working hours depending on the business needs.
