Designer

Job Description:

As a Solar Designer you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of solar energy projects. You will be responsible for translating conceptual designs into detailed plans and specifications ensuring the successful implementation of solar systems that meet our clients needs and industry standards. Your creativity technical expertise and commitment to sustainability will drive the success of our projects and contribute to our mission of advancing renewable energy adoption.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers engineers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Utilize design software (e.g. AutoCAD SketchUp PVsyst) to create detailed solar system layouts including site plans electrical schematics and structural designs.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate environmental factors shading analysis and optimal placement of solar panels.
• Perform energy production simulations and financial analysis to assess project feasibility and performance.
• Develop comprehensive project documentation including technical drawings specifications and installation instructions.
• Stay updated on industry trends regulations and best practices to ensure designs comply with relevant standards and codes.
• Support project implementation by providing technical guidance to installation teams and addressing designrelated challenges.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering architecture renewable energy or related field.
• Proven 4 experience in solar energy design with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD SketchUp and PVsyst.
• Indepth understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems including electrical and structural components.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g. NEC IBC ASCE).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform energy production modeling and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
