- Coordinate with QA Team to ensure all items are maintaining consistent quality in line with the PL strategy and up to date with the required SFDA regulations.
- Negotiate best costs based on set targets and adhere to Negotiations Guidelines & Policies
- Prepare profitability and sales contribution reports, including PL brand performance within each sub-category and class.
- Support TQP's (Total Quality Plan) lead by QA Team and Supply Partners.
- Supplier Management, Contracts & Service Level:
- Collect and summarise reports and presentation to be integrated into Supply Agreements & SLA negotiations/renewals for all PL suppliers.
- Improve the cashflow through Payment Terms negotiations.
- Control agreed Packaging Materials stocks for each supplier.
- Communicate and confirm demand forecast with suppliers before issuing official PO’s.
- Follow up daily with vendors on deliveries.
- Track and report service level based on OTIF.
- Update MDF/Technical Sheets periodically.
- Product Sourcing & Development:
- Contact potential suppliers and ensure they pass the initial quality audit process (factory certificates etc.).
- Arrange samples for lab testing and sensory evaluations in coordination with QA Team.
- Finalise selection of suppliers, item costs and quantity forecasts in alignment with the PL strategy and Category Teams.
- Support PL products development team in preparing Marketing Team brief documents to start the design development process as per the PL brand strategy.
- Obtain necessary cross functional approvals and list the new items in the system (RMS)
- Assist Private Label products development team in preparing product launch plans with the Marketing & Category teams
- Maintain a comprehensive sourcing database
