- Assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools or power tools
- Use building electrical distribution drawings, schematic, logic, single line drawings to diagnose electrical failures to 69kv.Use electrical drawings for new or expanding building projects and installation or relocating new or used equipment
- Conducts routine testing on all electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of systems in and around all applicable GHS facilities
- Assist all departments within GSK LTS (EHS, Utilities, Instrumentation, HVAC/R, Engineering, Validation and Automation) in determining an analytical sequence and actions to be taken during mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting and repair operations
- To be able to maintain and repair various types of electrical equipment for facilities and customers such as ultra-low temperature boxes, air handlers, electrical switch gear, motor controls, variable speed drives, auto calves, waste solvent Treatment system
- Responsible for maintaining their safety training compliance to include classroom and CBT (computer based training) as required by OSHA corporate safety procedures
- Install or repair electrical outlets, lighting fixtures, conduit, wiring, motor controllers and related equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code
- Determine methods and sequence of operations required to locate, design, install, repair and modify electrical systems by interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Install, manage, and maintain campus electrical systems and equipment, including generators, lights, transformers, motors, appliances, wiring, circuits, and other electrical devices
- Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
