1. Role Objective


a) Responsible for partnering with CFO, HOF and Head (FPA) and key business commercial and operational departments and supporting with the analysis of business cases, commercial / revenue initiatives and cost control. The individual will develop relationships in the business and be the first port of call for those teams. The position will also have responsibility, together with the HOF and Manager (FPA), for driving financial discipline into the Business coupled with shaping and delivery of the business profit improvement plan.

b) To collate, analyse and generate management information reports, prepare key performance indicators and perform additional and routine tasks like data and account analysis to complete management reports and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities in annual budgeting exercise, make available relevant data to statutory auditors, prepare schedules and other information required for tax reporting purposes.


2. Duties and Responsibilities


1- 5YP, Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting:

a) Model all revenue and cost base via supporting, challenging and partnering with airline internal stake holders, HOF and CFO. Consisting of but not limited to the following

o Obtain network plan and optimise revenue and variable costs to ensure cm2 margin maximised.

o Optimise flight and ancillary revenue via modelling various capacity, load factor, yield, revenue per pax and by-route CM2 profitability to enable support and challenge of commercial numbers

o Optimise Charter and Cargo revenue and CM2 margins by supporting and challenging internal business stakeholders numbers and plans

o Obtain engineering mxt plan and model / optimise engineering variable and fixed costs

o Optimise fuel variable cost via modelling various fuel burn and product / differential price scenario s

o Optimise selling variable costs via modelling various channel volume and price scenario s

o Model all other variable costs based on network, cost driver and price matrix

o Optimise fixed operating costs via modelling various fleet, insurance, depreciation, fixed established and fixed engineering scenario s.

o Prepare necessary review material and analysis to aid internal approval by CFO, CEO and BOD


2- Engineering Finance:

A) Tracking monthly fleet utilizations & reconciliations

B) Assist in accurate reporting to Lessors

C) Lease covenants & advice on various agreement clauses

D) Maintenance reserves (MR) reconciliations

E) Engine derate computations & MR revisions

F) Lease compliance checks to the MPD

G) Drawdown claims for MR & discussions on qualifying works reconciliations

H) Redelivery conditions planning for timely returns

I) Redelivery computations, lease returns & recons.

J) Tracking & ensuring correct MR & lease payments

K) Periodical lessor confirmations & recons.

L) Maintenance Reserve Recons & Adequacy

M) Contracts/Warranty Review

N) Annual escalations & MR recons. For audit & MIS reporting




Requirements

Education & Experience

a) Graduate in Accounting, Finance or Business

b) Qualified / Part-Qualified / Training ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent

c) 5 years of significant work experience in handling FPA function within Aviation

e) Excellent Interpersonal skills

f) Proficient Microsoft Office and ERP
