Job Description
I) JOB PURPOSE Responsible for overall availability, reliability and integrity of Plant assets. Responsible for maintenance system implementation and knowledge management of Pepsi Plant maintenance team. Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of Strong Industries by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. II) EDUCATIONAL & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION  B.Tech /B.E. – Mechanical M.Tech preferred III) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Technical Knowledge:  Working knowledge of computer.  Knowledge of modern maintenance techniques to ensure trouble free running of the plant. Experience:  Minimum 8 years experience in maintenance function in FMCG/Bottling / Beverage Industry. IV) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  Have Proficiency in Planning, Scheduling and executing of plant maintenance activities.  To plan, organize and execute all type of maintenance activities -like Preventive, breakdown, predictive maintenance  To develop and effective implement of system to enhance the plant equipment availability, with just in time service and highest reliability to achieve production targets.  To prepare budget proposal anticipating future requirements.  Co-ordination with stores purchase & also with supplier.  Prepare and plan Totally Preventive maintenance schedules of respective areas, Monitoring of Vibration level of equipment.  To procure spares and raw materials by keeping inventory at optimum level.  Assures equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity.  Implements process enhancements to improve process enhancements to improve package and flavor changeover efficiency.  Utilizes visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization and plant performance Builds the capability of plant supervisors and technicians.  Tracks standard manufacturing and warehouse measures and prioritizes plant maintenance opportunities.  Maintains P&L responsibility over maintenance cost centers, repair and maintenance, maintenance labor, utilities and capital improvement plans.  Provide guidance and support to the development of maintenance supervisors and maintenance technicians such that they are accountable for achieving individual, team, and maintenance department goals.  Scheduling predictive, preventive, breakdown maintenance jobs for equipment, planning maintenance schedules in the plants.  Knowledge of Utility Equipment like Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Thermal Fluid Heaters.  Ensure planned KPI s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.  Liaising among different departments, e. g. Suppliers, managers;  Responsible for maintenance system implementation and knowledge management of Plant maintenance team.  Ensure job execution and compliance to maintenance schedules. Implementation of corrective and preventive actions taken as per organization policy Shutdown coordination and safe and timely execution as per schedule.  Responsible for overall Plant Maintenance cost and budgeting.  Enable audit of maintenance systems and timely adherence to audit schedules Ensuring early completion of RCAs, liquidation of RCA recommendations.  Review and approval of MOCs & Capex.  Facilitate and support minor projects/ MOC/ Capex Interaction with vendor/ equipment manufacturers. Manage Equipment repair & refurbishment activities.  Oversee Contractor management.  Enable Obsolescence management.  Data management of critical assets, equipment job history, learning records, reports on special jobs. Reviewing and maintaining IMS documents. Conduct regular performance monitoring, reporting and escalation as required.  Career planning & performance appraisal of his reportees.  Timely release of Material / Service PRs & service entries. Experience & knowledge in robotized / automated working environment.  Exposure in machine maintenance Break Down diagnostic Exposure in spare parts planning & control, familiar with latest maintenance management system & procedure, Energy management etc.  Responsible for electro- mechanical Maintenance should ensure downtime reduction by following Predictive maintenance, Preventive maintenance, & planned Breakdown maintenances minimize the Breakdown.  Internal customer satisfaction.  Adherence of ISO documents and Optimum utilization of Spare parts & ensure timely servicing of machine. Operation and maintenance of utility, Cost Control of Energy consumption.  Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Director.
