Responsibilties:
• Responsible for development of the Policy and Procedures needed to run an efficient and cost effective Aeromedical Health Service.
• Support the Vice President – Aeromedical Centre and Specialist Occupational Health doctor in the strategic delivery of health educational programs for the company as a whole.
• Play a role in the development and expansion of the aeromedical services to support QR operations.
• Certify the fitness to fly of QR and non-QR flight deck, cabin crew and air traffic controllers as well as other airlines aircrew when required.
• Provide medical consultations and regulatory advice to aviation employees.
• Provide medical advice to the business regarding passenger health issues, i.e. fitness to fly / health onboard.
• Advise on matters related to occupational health and raise awareness for occupational health-related medical issues within the business.
