- Editorial direction of the regional planning process, identifying opportunities to break news and enterprise original and distinctive content for both TV and digital.
- Working with CNN’s platforms to best showcase CNN exclusives, CNN moments and key stories of our time. This position will be a key communicator and liaison with all platforms.
- Breaking news: Responding quickly and proactively to priorities across the News Group. Shoring up deployments, editorial and logistics in the aftermath of breaking news in step with the Sr. Director of Futures, the Directors of Coverage, programming, and Digital.
- Providing accurate budgets for newsgathering sends and breaking news.
- Logistical support: Ensuring that the things that make us able to react quickly (visas, logistics, accreditations) are all up to date. Ensure seamless and compelling coverage across all CNN platforms with no logistical impediments to fast reactions of teams to breaking news and events.
