Senior Accountant

Job Overview

You will be in charge of creating and maintaining the company's financial database. Suggesting cost-effective measures to expand the company's profitability will be an added advantage. You should also own strong analytical skills and have an eye for detail. Your technical expertise and research skills are vital in calculating future predicament.

You will also be considered for your precision and professionalism. In addition, you will be held responsible for maintaining confidentiality about the company s financial practices. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices will be preferred. You will also be responsible for drafting and updating financial reports and data on a timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and maintaining financial data/ records.
• Analyzing and determining the cash flow.
• Outline cost variables.
• Draft monthly and yearly budget reports.
• Prepare month-end and financial year closing.
• Manage internal and external financial audits.
• Investigate current market trends and frame financial policies.
• Review and set a budget within departments.
• Check invoices and reports for accuracy.
• Review and manage the company's inventory cash flow.
• Tally financial statements.
• Calculate taxes payable.
• Suggest cost-cutting strategies to increase profitability.
• Maintain confidentiality about financial data.
• Assist in managing, reviewing, and arranging LCs, and LGs.
• Keeping a track of accounts payable and receivable
• Undertaking budget and cash forecasting

Skills & Abilities:

• Proven ability as a Cost Accountant or a similar role in the Accounting Department.
• Knowledge of Management Accounting, Public Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• Outstanding knowledge of various accounting tools and softwares.
• Know-how of standard costing and its procedures.
• Outstanding administrative and management skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 8+ years of experience working as a Senior Accountant or equivalent position in the construction industry.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desirable.
• Awareness about IFRS and other accounting concepts.
